Converting Open XPS files (.oxps) to bitma;ps

In Visual Studio 2012 we use System.Windows.Xps.Packaging.XpsDocument to convert XPS documents to bitmap images.  I have not found a way to convert the newer .oxps files to bitmap images.  Is there a way to convert these in Visual Studio, or will there be capabilities in the VS 2013.  Thank you.
